I just got out of college for one week for our spring break. It is nice to have a break during actual spring, unlike other colleges who have had their spring break about 3 weeks ago.

Temperatures are supposed to hit near 70 degrees Fahrenheit twice next week which will be amazing! Except it may rain a few days also.

During the time off I plan to work a little bit on my blog and also do a little bit of college homework so I don not get bogged down in the future weeks with it since we have about 6 weeks of spring semester left. 

I have recently just added a couple new plugins which effect the comments area. These new plugins can be really helpful for you guys.

The first one is a “reply to comment” plugin, which allows you to respond to an individual comment that will show up right under the comment you are replying to. This makes it so your comment that responds to another comment doesn’t show up at the very bottom.

The second plugin is the “Subscribe to comments” plugin, which lets you receive email notification when anyone responds to a specific post that you may like to follow up on later instead of accidentally forgetting about it.

That is right. Today marks the 2nd month anniversary of when I opened up my blog to the public. I have learned many things and over come many obstacles. I can’t wait until my blog is 3 months old so I can take advantage of a few more opportunities.

Coming into the blog world I have found myself reading other peoples blogs and getting to interact with them. Recently I found John Chow’s blog, probably one of the most famous, and wanted to try some linkback offers he gives to the community. I would also really like to hear his opinion/review about my blog to help me grow.

John Chow dot Com is a blog that helps you make money online. He is offering to link to your blog if you review his blog.

I have been reading through John Chows blog and it is really useful. He has many articles on making money with a blog and how to spread your blog out into the blogosphere. He has a lot of respect from many bloggers so I can tell you that he knows what he is talking about. One interesting fact is that he makes thousands of dollars from his blog every month.

Everyday I go and check his blog, because it is updated every single day with quality content. I really hope I get to know him soon. And I want to thank him for this opportunity.

I have recently signed up to a blogging community called MyBlogLog. I want to make my friends list grow larger and would like for you to add me to your contacts, where I will then add you also.

So if you have a MyBlogLog account, you can add me. My name on the site is my online alias Breakpoint(not my picture). I would also enjoy it if you join my community for my blog also.

I will also be adding the MyBlogLog widget to my site to see who visits my site from there.

I just upgraded the blog to version 2.1.2 and I need your help. I didn’t want to go through restoring a backup and I am hoping that just upgrading Wordpress will cause it not to crash the site anymore.

I have been getting tired of hearing my blog is done for the last month so I am going to take some action against that! I will be reinstalling Wordpress on my site today or tomorrow. I have some concern about how long it may take since I am not 100% sure on what I will be all doing.

This also gives me a good opportunity to upgrade to the new Wordpress 2.1.2 version. I am also going to try and add more plugins to the site like Top Commenter and RSS information.

I will post again when everything is nearly complete.

It has sadly been a while since my last update, but I have been pretty busy for the last few days.

As you may have noticed I recently turned 21 and I am having a great time being 21. I no longer have to worry about drinking and getting busted by cops. Just yesterday I went to the bars on a Tuesday to get a few pitchers of beer. I returned back to the dorm and was goofing around with my friend behind a cop walking in the halls. On my 21st Birthday I also had a great time with friends at the bars. Lets just say I drank a little too much, but why not go all out?

My blog has also now over 1 month old. I started it on January 22nd and it has gone through a lot of progress. It is one of my first site I have ever ran and it is a great experience and a pain at the same time with technical issues.

You may have also noticed I changed my blogs theme, thanks to my brother Stuart for finding a better layout. Now my blog no longer has pink, though Kelli hates that. But I like the cleaner look.

For the last week I have been very busy studying for exams I had to take on Wednesday and Thursday. I have had no fun over that week from Monday through Thursday, because I was just studying and doing homework. So when Thursday night came I had to just not care about school and have been partying for the last few days.

It is a good way to bring in being 21 when I don’t have to worry about drinking anymore. Right now I only have 7 more days, a week! So next Saturday night the best party in my life will begin.

 On a separate note, I finally checked my Akismet Spam plugin, which I thought I wouldn’t need since the blog is almost a month old itself. But in awe, I saw the plugin has caught about 18 spam comments. However, when I looked through some of the comments I found one that was not and I am not sure why it thought it was spam. Here is the comment

     “Nice report. The most amazing part to me is that the Packers year after year are among the top 5 in revenue for NFL teams and are in the smallest market, by far!”

I also realized that the address to my blog www.nathanhannig.com now works along with nathanhannig.com which was getting me confused when it wasn’t working. How do things like this work out after a few weeks?

Welcome to my new blog! This is my first time ever running a blog and will probably be changing a lot of things about it for a while. Please let me know any feedback that you have or problems that may occur since I won’t know about everything. This will be a real fun experience for me and I want to share everything with you. Make sure to bookmark my blog and check back often!

I would also like to ask for your input on the theme/skin this blog uses. Do you like the basic look of this one or would you rather see me use another one I like. The other theme can be viewed here (Modern World). Please leave a comment on which one you prefer. I will edit the images of each theme to customize it to my style, but the layout(coding) will stay the same.
