So I have just received my grades from my college courses for last semester. I am pleased to see that I have met my goal of not falling under my cumulative Grade Point Average which means instead that it raised up.

I was excited to see that I didn’t receive any C’s which one class had me worried about, Organizational Behavior. I did very good on the exams in this class, but the professor had a lousy grading system for class assignments, which I did bad on.

I was also surprised to see that my Web Design class professor gave me an A in her course. I deserved an A with the work that I did in the class. But many students who took her class before told me that she was an unfair grader and usually gave people B’s for their amazing work.

My junior year of college was by far my best year in grades. Hopefully I can keep it up with my major’s core classes coming up in fall. One thing I learned in college though, is that your grades don’t depend on the course, but who is teaching it. I have had classes that I have made an A and friends have made F’s, only difference is how nice the professor teaching it is.

I just got out of my Junior year of college and waiting for grades to see how I did. I also have 2 weeks away from Whitewater before I have to go back and start my new job on June 4th. I can’t wait! In the mean time I have to also go get a cell phone which will be a headache finding a good plan and phone to use. Maybe I can start doing some PayPerPost ads to help pay for the initial costs of the cell phone down the road.

I can also see why I don’t miss home as much since for the first two days back I helped shovel bark into the plantings around the yard and moved my Uncle to a new place. Both back breaking work in the summer heat.

This whole week has been rough for me, but I have got some good news to offset it. The tough part are getting all of my school work done and studying for final exams that are coming up. The last 4 nights I have spent staying up late getting somethings done. This should hopefully change soon.

The good news is that I have been hired by my campus’s Web Development area for this summer and on. I have been sort of stressing on it since I was hoping to be able to make money again., since I haven’t had a job since starting college. This job also lets me stay in Whitewater for the summer at my new apartment. I just got the job by a slim margin, since they were at first not hiring for the position.

Another cool good thing is that I won a $15 ITunes card in a raffle between all of the residence in my dorm. I finally can get some music legally.

School will be ending in about a month which will be bittersweet. I like staying at school with my friends, but hate going to classes like many students. However, getting to the finals you have to also finish papers and projects that you can’t finish until the end of the semester. I just finished a week of hard school work and have to look forward to more next week. Hopefully I will get a job on campus for the summer and move into an apartment. But it sucks that I won’t know if I got the job until the middle of May. So what I will be doing for summer is still uncertain.

My blog is almost nearing 3 months of being up. I can’t wait until the 22nd when that will occur and sign up for some advertising which will help me afford things over the summer since I haven’t had a job for 3 years..

I just got out of college for one week for our spring break. It is nice to have a break during actual spring, unlike other colleges who have had their spring break about 3 weeks ago.

Temperatures are supposed to hit near 70 degrees Fahrenheit twice next week which will be amazing! Except it may rain a few days also.

During the time off I plan to work a little bit on my blog and also do a little bit of college homework so I don not get bogged down in the future weeks with it since we have about 6 weeks of spring semester left.

For the last week I have been very busy studying for exams I had to take on Wednesday and Thursday. I have had no fun over that week from Monday through Thursday, because I was just studying and doing homework. So when Thursday night came I had to just not care about school and have been partying for the last few days.

It is a good way to bring in being 21 when I don’t have to worry about drinking anymore. Right now I only have 7 more days, a week! So next Saturday night the best party in my life will begin. :)

On a separate note, I finally checked my Akismet Spam plugin, which I thought I wouldn’t need since the blog is almost a month old itself. But in awe, I saw the plugin has caught about 18 spam comments. However, when I looked through some of the comments I found one that was not and I am not sure why it thought it was spam. Here is the comment

“Nice report. The most amazing part to me is that the Packers year after year are among the top 5 in revenue for NFL teams and are in the smallest market, by far!”

I also realized that the address to my blog www.nathanhannig.com now works along with nathanhannig.com which was getting me confused when it wasn’t working. How do things like this work out after a few weeks?

For the last week I can’t say too much has been going on. Just a lot of minor thins.

Probably one of the best things was signing the lease for an apartment I will be living in next semester with a bunch of friends. Pending on payment for summer, we will get the apartment starting June 1st. It will be a total different pace not living in the dorm and having more rooms. But I won’t be able to eat the “great” Drumlin food.

I also have just finished my 3rd week of the new semester. I hope I can get B’s in most of my business classes. Two of my classes deal with stats which I didn’t do so good in my Freshman year. I just need to study and read. But then there is this one professor who is insanely hard to please who I am most worried about.

And finally, for the last two days I have been playing the new Rainbow Six Las Vegas game for the XBox 360. It is real fun, but also real hard to stay alive. I constantly yell at the TV and Mexican terrorists. :)

I would like to share an essay from a group I was in that we wrote for a college class. The essay compares the Green Bay Packer and Chicago Bear franchises to find out which one is the best. These are the top two franchise in the National Football League. The essay compares many aspects of each franchise though out the paper. If you would like to read the summary, it is at the bottom of the essay. Click the “Read rest of this post.” to view the essay.

So I have finished going to all of my first day classes for Spring Semester 2007 and can say it will probably be a little struggle with what is required from all of the professors. I am taking 15 credits from the following classes.

  • Art 222 Design Foundations For the Web
  • MCS 231 Concept Data Structures
  • Operations Management 306
  • Business Finance 344
  • Organizational Behavior 301

Looking at the syllabus I can see a lot of homework coming up that is just stupid. My Organizational Behavior professor talked about how her class is probably the most important course in College of Business, because it talks about workplace personality and communications. YEAH RIGHT! ZZZzzzz I also have a few professors who seem to just not want to do any extra work for students since the professors want to get out early, but expect a lot from them.
